The installer insures that necessary DLLs are present and writes into the registry so that Arasan is registered as being present in the system (this allows Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel to work, among other things). This is standard for Windows programs. One of the reasons I do things this way is that probably 90% of Arasan users don't use Winboard and are not highly computer-savvy (the members of this forum are the exception, not the rule).
