This position is from one of the SSDF Games. Ct15 played Rg1 allowing Bxa2. After this white's position gradually fell apart into an eventual loss. I was puzzled by this but then remembered how programmers try to deal with the "trapped bishop" theme. ie: Bxa2 followed by b2-b3 and then the bishop capture. However this case does not apply here for obvious reasons of the kingside being exposed. What do other programs prefer. Rebel XP for example plays c4. Is there an oversight here in the implementation of the trapped bishop theme? [D] r4rk1/p1p1bppp/1p1qpn2/3bN1B1/3P3P/3B4/PPP1QPP1/2KR3R w - -
