Dear Stuart, Good question! The ChessCafe.com staff are sending me Shredder 7 now for an upcoming review at their web site. I'm a computer dummy, but plan to test the latest Shredder on positions from my correspondence games and also compare some of its output with Fritz 6a's and Nimzo 7.32's output from my correspondence match. http://www.correspondencechess.com/campbell/ham/ham.htm As such, I plan to focus my review on playing performance more than on the peripheral stuff, like database quality, gui, training and playing levels, etc. Meanwhile, as a confessed computer dummy, I'd sure appreciate any tips you and other readers can send my way in order to try to perform an accurate and fair review and also to provide meaningful data to all of you.
