The good old hexadecimal times!!!!!!!

I hope though you realize that 8 bits is very slow on the P4 and 64 bits
cpu's.

So don't hesitate to use EAX instead of AL and AH to store a single square
or even new releases of P4s which might get fast in the future will still
be slow for you compared to a k7 ;)
