Any suggestions? >thanks, >Marc My System has 1GB RAM running Win XP Pro. Fritz 8 appears to ignore the hash size set between successive running of the Fritz 8 program. 1. Launch Fritz 8. It takes a long time to load. 2. Once loaded Fritz will tell you the hash is very large in my case over 800 MB. 3. Set Hash to 256MB. The prgram seems to run fine. 4. Quit fritz 8. 5. Relaunch Fritz 8. Again it takes ages to load and the hash is back to over 800 MB. This is repeatable. Seems to be a bug. This problem seems similar to the message http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?271267 Its interesting to note all these machines have 1GB Ram. Bill
