It appears on launching Fritz 8 it uses all available memory, not just the amount specified for the Hash in the engine parameters. Reseting the hash once the engine is loaded reduces the memory usage, however if you quit from Fritz 8 GUI and then relaunch Fritz 8 the problem re-occurs. Lets hope Chessbase issues a fix for this soon. Bill
