Did you try the Help Files with ChessBase? I don't understand what you expect Chessbase to do by itself. If Fritz is installed is it in the Chessbase Folder? Do you have a Desktop Icon for Chessbase? I had a similar problem; but installed Chessbase, then Fritz, then MagaDataBase 99 in that order.. got the desktop Icons and everything went smoothly. Don't know what else to suggest.. Happy Holiday!
