I didnt like the 3D Boards shipped with Shredder 7 at all. the metal board looks a bit shabby. the shredder board is not useful at all. here is my workaround: close Shredder7 go to the folder were Shredder 3D files are installed. for example: C:\ChessBase\3D\Material create a new folder named C:\ChessBase\3D\Material\Custom copy all files and the Standard subfolder from C:\ChessBase\3D\Material\Metal folder in the new folder. replace the files board.jpg and boardlow.jpg with the files located in the C:\ChessBase\3D\Material\Shredder folder. search for the file Metal.cbd on your harddrive. usually it is in your Documents folder in a subfolder 3d. copy this file temporary in a different directory. rename it to Custom.cbd and copy it back to 3d folder. This step is not always necessary. start shredder7 go to Tools - Options - Design - 3D board settings and choose the new entry custom.cbd you could check 'use Gamma' in the Gamma tab if you like. click ok In my opinion this new created custom Board is much better than Classic Metal and Shredder Boards delivered with Shredder7.
