Interesting that you generate and update all moves at once. It's avoids traversing pieces twice (or more?) as i do. An additional and possibly decisive advantage may be getting best quite moves earlier, rather than shrinking the selection process to "good" captures and some killers before generating all. The drawback is unnecessesary work in cut-nodes, where a cutoff occurs most often with the hashmove. I guess your approach is more likely to get a better branching factor. But anyway, i like the hash move without generation approach. Regards, Gerd
