I couldn't possibly let this by without a comment. First, I want to thank you
for the many years of enjoyment your programs have given me. As a beginner, in
Paris, I used to be a regular at both Librairie Games and Le Damier de l'Opéra
and played with the Mephisto MMV and Polgar regularly, while the sharks took
turns getting beaten up by Lang's programs. Later, when I got a PC, my prize
programs (which cost AT THE TIME $150 a piece for those complaining about
prices) were Hirsch's MChess Pro and your groundbreaking Rebel 8.0. I remember
the buzz, and was hooked. Thank you for being such a source of pleasure,
competition, and enjoyable frustration.
This new project of yours is wonderful beyond words, and will set new standards
for future programs as the are able to benefit from your vast experience. My hat
is off to you(1).

would be off. :-)
