Sometimes it however does not happen this way. Seldom can however be read about such things. And why? Because chess people do normally "throw away" the old program as soon as a new version is on the market. And almost nobody is playing with programs being two years and older. I like matches between "old" programs vs "new" programs and often enough was I much surprised. Below I can give you such an example of a 25m+10s match of List 504 - vs Junior5 [List504 wins by 10.5-9.5 = 52,5 %] - vs Junior7 [List 504 wins by 12-8 = 60 %] The worse result of Junior 7 is surely a surprise.
