Because chessbase believe that using the name Fritz can convince customers to
buy the program.

I do not like it.

I find it as a possible reason not to buy in the future programs from chessbase
until they change it but unfortunately the reason does not seem to be good
enough to convince me never to do it.

Another reason not to buy chess programs (except gandalf) is the fact that they
do not run under winboard but again the reason does not seem to be strong enough
for me.
