When you copy any analysis to the clipboard, the CURRENT notation is used. This is why the above text appears to be garbage -- if viewed with the CM font, it will be Figurine Algrebraic. 2) On my slower P3-733, CM9000 announces Mate in 13 in 24 seconds. You should probably go to "Preferences -> Mentor" and change the hash table size for the mentor engine to 32MB (or higher if you intend to do analysis longer than 5 minutes or so). Smaller hash tables result in slower performance. jm
