My guess is that it was a  marketing decision for several reasons:

Chessbase and Fritz are very well known names in computer chess.

Pocket Fritz has a nice ring to it.  Even if you didn't play chess you might be
able to tell it's a game of some sort.

Pocket Shredder doesn't work.  It's sound like something that would be very,
very dangerous to carry around in your pocket - especially in a pocket  ...that
is close to the family jewels (ahem ..).

I don't have a problem with the name at all.
