But then, why do we want a moderated forum? What is the difference between CCC
and RGCC? Lately, not much. Following your criteria, none at all. What you are
saying is that if someone is interesting and "funny" he can go overboard. Or
else: if not interesting and funny he can't step over the limits. A definition
of double standards. In fact, I have no idea any longer of what is or is not
allowed in CCC.

I agree with many of your views in this post. Thorsten went over the limits a
number of times and some, including me, replied in quite an aggressive way as
well. Quite upset by all this, I complained to moderators a couple of times
asking them to do something about Thorsten's attacks. On the other hand, a
computer chess forum without Thorsten would be, I think, much less interesting.
More peaceful, also more sterile. A side effect of keeping interesting and
aggressive people is the absence of some others that either left CCC "appalled"
or won't post in a forum where they can get blasted. Both things already
happened.

In the end, I wonder if we are talking about Thorsten or about the concept of a
moderated forum. It might be a flawed concept in itself. What I read in your
post is a proposal to go for a non moderated forum, and I am not saying you are
wrong.
