This forum is not suitable for some who choose not to suffer massive personal attacks. We also have a moderated forum: CCC This forum is not suitable for some who choose to abuse it for massive personal attacks. If CCC wasn't a moderated board any longer, I would certainly quit. I need protection from libelous campaigns against my personal integrity which I simply neither have the time nor the motivation to fight against. Consequence of non-moderation of CCC: Loss of people who feel the same way like I do. Please note that they will very likely also not consider r.g.c.c. to be a friendly place to go, either. On the other hand, if you have a moderated CCC, you can still drop over to r.g.c.c. and communicate with people who will share everything with you to an extent as extreme as their Internet service provider permits (e.g. AOL doesn't seem to care at all). Please note that I changed the subject header because my appeal to support a place where I can participate in discussions about computer chess is not restricted to any particular case of moderation but a principal question whether I have to go away or will be given an opportunity to continue sharing my computer chess hobby with other "freaks" here on this board. Finally, I want to clarify that I fully support the actions of Bruce, Amir and Don as moderators (there seems to have been some confusion about this lately). I owe them gratitude for their courage to defend controversial decisions (for which they often are attacked e.g. also on r.g.c.c.) they take on behalf of the members of this forum. We elected them and gave them the burden of responsibility for moderating CCC, something which I can imagine certainly is no fun, takes lots of work and sometimes involves making really difficult assessments about benefits and disadvantages of a particular decision.
