Itanium is 64-bits.

The big problem here lies less in the fact that it's a 64-bit machine and more
in the architectural differences. The Athlon64 has more registers which means
fewer memory accesses since more data can be cached in the registers. In my
opinion, the fact that it's 64-bits will contribute only a little bit. It is
difficult to say...
