The processors don't run at equal clock speeds. The top AMD chip is 2.25 GHz.
The Pentium 4 runs at 3.06 GHz now. Clock-for-clock an Athlon will tear apart a
Pentium 4 and eat it alive.

Pentium 4 2.0 GHz is a tad slower than AthlonXP 2000 (1.67 GHz) from all I have
read.
