I don't understand what you mean by "weak". There are already more competitors
registered than took part in WCCC.

A quick glance at the Winboard Forum suggests that there are many hundreds of
Winboard programs. I would suggest that most programs participating in Leo
Dijksman's excellent tournament could easily compete.
