Kasparov needs some money now for legal fees re shutting down the kasparov chess site (he's being sued), so I suspect the match will go on as scheduled, and the extra money if he wins will be an incentive for him. He's not been playing too well of late, as I'm guessing he's been distracted by his financial problems, so I expect a close match, plus his performance in 1997 must be a psychological factor to be considered. Kasparov should have plenty of incentive to win. He'll get bragging rights over Kramnik if he does, an added incentive in case he needed any.
