Subject: Looking for advice on P4 memory types...

Author: Peter Kasinski

I read that the best (fastest?) type would be RIMM PC 1066. However, in
browsing through Dell specs for a dual Xeon machine I noticed that they aren't
even oferring this type of memory. Instead, only DDR266 SDRAM (ECC or non-ECC)
is used. If Xeon (and these are the 533 bus - new types) is the top of the line
chip - would it not make sense that a faster memory chips be used here?

I admit to being somewhat confused and, as always, appreciate your help.
Thank you,

PK
