Not for me because the branching factor is not important. Every programmer can get branching factor of 2 by adding some pruning rules but in that case a ply means clearly less. I see no special improvement of Tiger15 at long time control relative to Tiger14 based on the ssdf so I guess that the branching factor is simply misleading. Uri
