Have you read this overview about Linux C++ IDE's? http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/archives/LXF35.roundup.pdf Speaking about myself, i prefer vim. Not only in linux/unix, i use gvim.exe even under windows. Better than UltraEdit, in my opinion. Kunnar
