Ed, I see that you do the one reply to check in the qsearch. That makes sense. I was wondering how Rebel could solve the famous mate-in-30. This stuff is great - keep it coming!! Thanks also for adding some of the dates - I think it added some texture for those of us who have been fans since early 80s. You've said that you're, quite rightly, not going to disclose the material that you received from Christophe. It would be interesting to know what proportion of Rebel is based on knowledge that you're *not* going to disclose? Another way of looking at it - what would be the estimated strength decrease if you took out all of the algorithms that you're *not* going to disclose? Regards, Steve
