All I'm saying is that when you first fire up The King in Fritz, it will be the Chessmaster default personality. The only way I can see to bring it up as a different personality by default _without_ having to select it from the combo box is to send the commands in the InitString. It just saves time if you prefer a particular custom personality as default. Ralph
