One big problem is that users expect the environments to be the same. Same type
of toolchain. The CLI side is as solid as it could be. The vast migrating herd
however want their MAC/WIN experiences to have a perfect match. Why anyone would
want anything but an editor and an automated build system is unknowable to me.
Wizards give me the creeps. And the X-Windows system ... Ugh. A linebuffer
display driver and FLTK is much snappier. And a simple API too.
