Later on he would never play 14...Ka1. IMO the question is not whether this is losing for black (of course it is. even after the best defence 14...Qe6.). IMO a slow computer would search at least till depth 7 in this position. possible reason for this: generating tablebases in background for example :) >I did not see a forced mate after 13...Kb2 but I could see at least positive >score for white in every line that you go. > >Here is analysis by Deep fritz6 for move 13 of black(I remember that yace >suggested also Qe6 but changed it's mind after a long analysis to Qe5) > >I think that both moves are winning >I may be wrong and it is possible that black is already losing before Kb2 and a >long analysis is needed > > >Eduard Nemeth - Fritz 8,P >[D]r1b1qb1r/pppp2pp/2nn4/6B1/3p2Q1/Pk3PP1/4N2P/RN2K2R b KQ - 0 1 > >Analysis by Deep Fritz: > >13...Qe8xe2+-- > -+ (-2.09) Depth: 1/3 00:00:00 >13...Qe8xe2+-- 14.Ke1xe2 > = (0.09) Depth: 1/3 00:00:00 >13...Nd6-c4! > -+ (-2.38) Depth: 1/4 00:00:00 >13...Nd6-c4! 14.Nb1-d2+ Kb3-b2 > -+ (-5.41) Depth: 1/7 00:00:00 >13...Kb3-a4! > -+ (-5.66) Depth: 1/7 00:00:00 >13...Kb3-a4 14.Nb1-c3+ Ka4-a5 > -+ (-5.44) Depth: 2/5 00:00:00 >13...Nd6-b5! > -+ (-5.50) Depth: 2/8 00:00:00 >13...Nd6-b5! 14.Bg5-f4 > -+ (-5.56) Depth: 2/9 00:00:00 >13...Kb3-b2! > -+ (-5.69) Depth: 2/9 00:00:00 >13...Kb3-b2! 14.0-0 Kb2xa1 > -+ (-8.84) Depth: 2/9 00:00:00 >13...Kb3-b2 14.0-0 Kb2xa1 15.Ne2xd4 > -+ (-8.84) Depth: 3/10 00:00:00 >13...Kb3-b2 14.0-0 h7-h5 15.Qg4-h4 Kb2xa1 > -+ (-8.97) Depth: 4/12 00:00:00 2kN >13...Kb3-b2 14.0-0 h7-h5 15.Qg4-h4 Kb2xa1 16.Ne2xd4 > -+ (-8.97) Depth: 5/18 00:00:00 7kN >13...Kb3-b2 14.0-0 h7-h5 15.Qg4-h4 Kb2xa1 16.Ne2xd4 Nc6xd4 > -+ (-8.97) Depth: 6/21 00:00:00 19kN >13...Kb3-b2-- > -+ (-8.66) Depth: 7/24 00:00:00 65kN >13...Kb3-b2-- 14.Nb1-c3 d4xc3 15.Ra1-c1 Nd6-b5 16.Qg4-c4 Nc6-d4 > -+ (-8.03) Depth: 7/24 00:00:00 97kN >13...Kb3-b2 14.Nb1-c3 d4xc3 15.Qg4-a4 Qe8-f7 16.0-0 c3-c2 17.Rf1-c1 > -+ (-8.00) Depth: 8/25 00:00:00 283kN >13...Kb3-b2 14.Nb1-c3 d4xc3 15.Qg4-a4 Qe8-e6 16.Ra1-c1 Qe6-f5 17.Bg5-f4 Nd6-b5 > -+ (-7.78) Depth: 9/30 00:00:01 812kN >13...Kb3-b2-- > -+ (-7.47) Depth: 10/34 00:00:04 2184kN >13...Kb3-b2-- 14.0-0 Qe8xe2 15.Nb1-d2 Qe2-e6 16.Rf1-b1+ Kb2-c3 17.Rb1-b3+ Qe6xb3 >18.Nd2xb3 Kc3xb3 > -+ (-7.00) Depth: 10/34 00:00:11 6279kN >13...Kb3-b2-- > -+ (-6.69) Depth: 11/34 00:00:23 13151kN >13...Kb3-b2-- 14.0-0 Qe8xe2 15.Nb1-d2 Qe2xf1+ 16.Ra1xf1 Kb2xa3 17.Rf1-b1 h7-h5 >18.Qg4-h4 Nd6-f5 19.Rb1-a1+ > -+ (-4.47) Depth: 11/35 00:00:54 29477kN >13...Nd6-b5! > -+ (-4.50) Depth: 11/35 00:01:10 38455kN >13...Nd6-b5! 14.Qg4-f5 Kb3-a4 15.Qf5-c2+ Ka4-a5 16.a3-a4 Nb5-c3 17.Nb1xc3 d4xc3 >18.Bg5-f4 Nc6-e5 19.Qc2-e4 > -+ (-4.84) Depth: 11/38 00:02:18 73205kN >13...h7-h6! > -+ (-4.88) Depth: 11/38 00:02:29 78593kN >13...h7-h6! 14.Ke1-f2 h6xg5 15.Ne2xd4+ Kb3-b2 16.Nd4xc6 Nd6-e4+ 17.f3xe4 Kb2xa1 > -+ (-5.72) Depth: 11/40 00:03:02 95462kN >13...Qe8-e5! > -+ (-5.75) Depth: 11/40 00:03:28 108687kN >13...Qe8-e5! 14.Ke1-f2 h7-h5 15.Qg4-h4 Bf8-e7 16.Nb1-d2+ Kb3-a4 17.Ne2-c3+ >Ka4-a5 18.Nd2-b3+ Ka5-a6 19.Bg5xe7 > -+ (-5.78) Depth: 11/40 00:03:51 120862kN >13...Qe8-e6! > -+ (-5.81) Depth: 11/40 00:04:06 129430kN >13...Qe8-e6! 14.Qg4-f4 h7-h6 15.Ke1-f2 Nd6-b5 16.Qf4-c1 Kb3-a4 17.Qc1-c2+ Qe6-b3 >18.Qc2xb3+ Ka4xb3 19.a3-a4 > -+ (-6.09) Depth: 11/40 00:04:27 140647kN >13...Qe8-e6 14.Qg4-f4 h7-h6 15.Ke1-f2 Nd6-b5 16.Qf4-c1 Kb3-a4 17.Bg5-d2 Qe6-b3 >18.Kf2-g2 d7-d5 > -+ (-5.88) Depth: 12/36 00:04:58 158111kN >13...Qe8-e6 14.Qg4-f4 h7-h6 15.Ke1-f2 Nd6-b5 16.Qf4-c1 Kb3-a4 17.Nb1-d2 Ka4-a5 > -+ (-6.00) Depth: 13/39 00:08:10 268150kN >13...Qe8-e6-- > -+ (-5.69) Depth: 14/43 00:13:05 439363kN >13...Qe8-e6-- 14.Qg4-f4 Kb3-a4 15.Qf4-c1 Nd6-b5 16.Nb1-d2 Ka4-a5 17.Ke1-d1 d4-d3 >18.Ne2-c3 Nb5-d4 > -+ (-5.66) Depth: 14/46 00:23:00 787992kN > >(Blass, Tel-aviv 06.01.2003)
