It compiled out-of-the-box on my RH8 system. Installing it gave two errors
though:

install -m 755 -d /usr/local/scid-3.4.beta5/share
install -m 644 -p scid.eco spelling.ssp /usr/local/scid-3.4.beta5/share
install: cannot stat `scid.eco': No such file or directory
install: cannot stat `spelling.ssp': No such file or director

Obviously these two files are missing in the distribution. I hope that's not a
major problem. :)

A funny thing is also that the configure-script doesn't use the typical
'--prefix=...' thing, but instead uses 'BINDIR=..." and "SHAREDIR=...', but it's
documented, so it's a minor issue. :)

Thanks for scid! =)
