gcc is available on ALL Linux distros.

gcc is the basic tools used to build Linux.

But gcc is just a command-line compiler. I'm looking for an IDE.

There are maybe one hundred distros out there (ha. Some of them representing
less than 0.1% of the Linux users.

Each distro has its own problems and might require some adaptation work for me.

That's why I will support only the most used distros.
