I think most programs don't consider Bf8 having an xray on a3 because the
blocking piece (Nd6) doesn't have an attack on a3.

It's more a "hidden attack". Worth considering, but it doesn't changing the
outcome of a pieceswap on a3. ( when considering only 1 square) For a global
pieceswap routine it could, but that seems to be a bit too complicated for
anyone to try. ( in chess)
