For me it is closer to what I am accustom to in the real world so I play better with the 3D. My performance is even better although that could be because of the style of the new engine. Everyone is diffrent. It appears from conversations that I have seen that most people still like 2D. I would not even has purchased Fritz 8 if it did not have 3D.
