I just tryed this variant against crafty (PIII 450, 10 min for the game, both
sides) after two tries, it played 1.. e5
, the rest was almost identical to the fritz play!! (only at the end the mate
was different).

Ke6 is in my opinion the strange move, at first crafty prefers g6, but after a
while thinking, it played also ke6. Strange!! there must be something good at
Ke6, than engines are so eager to play it.
