oops, only adding some moves is bad, dunno what is better but I do this
moves_remaining (to next control)=...
if (ply/2>=...)
{ moves_remaining=min(moves_remaining,...); }
moves_remaining+=4;
time_allocated=time_remaining/moves_remaining;
