Subject: ChessMaster 9000 and tech support

I received a copy of CM9k recently as a gift. After playing with it
for a while, I noticed two somewhat bothersome things related to the
Mentor.

1) It appears that it doesn't use the EGDBs
2) If the GUI is minimized, the process running TheKing.exe is killed
   and the analysis is lost

I asked about this via the Ubi Soft web site and got this as a response:

Thank you for contacting Ubi Soft Technical Support. Unfortunately, the issue
you are having is related to general gameplay hints and tips that is either
covered in the manual, or is available via other source. Ubi Soft Technical
Support can only help you with getting the game running on your system. After
that, it will be up to you to determine the best way of playing and winning the
game. Our support reps are trained to help only with technical issues, and do
not have access to hints or tips for Ubi Soft games.

Can someone here shed some light on the two issues?

Thanks
