Steve Lopez has a very good explanation of installing WB engines in Fritz GUI in an October 2002 T Note on the ChessBase germany site: http://chessbase.com/support/support.asp?pid=234. UCI engines are installed directly by using Engine ---> Create UCI engine. WB engines have to go through a conversion/translation process using 3d party free software to appear to Fritz as UCI engines.
