I remember years ago emailing Ed with questions I had about
Rebel and getting email from Ed himself in return, patiently
explaining things to me. I was just an ordinary user. Some
tremendous features of his programs still have not been
implemented in the current commercial programs. I fear we won't
see the likes of Ed again, but he is now sharing his programming
knowledge gratis. What a magnificant contribution he has made to
computer chess, and continues to make.
