[D] 8/pp5p/4k1p1/3p4/2pPPK2/2P5/PP5P/8 b - - 0 41

In this position, with Black to move, I was surprised by the consideration given
to g5+ by some programs. From a "human" point of view, doesn't it just look to
give White an easy win?

Deep Fritz 7 avoids g5+ completely, but Shredder Paderborn, Chess Tiger 14 and
CM9000 are, in my opinion, relatively slow to identify g5+ as losing for Black.
They all very quickly see Black is lost after playing a further Kxg5.

I think initially h6 is best with a likely draw, but the main point is that g5+
is definitely not best.

Anyone comment on the latest Shredder (7) and Chess Tiger (15) against this
position?

thanks

Gordon
