Fritz 8 needs not 1 second to avoid g5 on my PC.however Fritz 8 is not able to identify g5 much faster than other programs as losing move. other programs like Ruffian or Shredder overestimate the protected passed pawn e5 after 1...h6 2.e5. Fritz 8 not. Analysis by Shredder 7: 1. = (0.08): 1...g5+ 2.Kf3 h5 3.e5 a5 4.a4 Kf5 5.h3 g4+ 6.hxg4+ hxg4+ 7.Kg2 Kg6 8.Kh2 Kf5 9.b4 2. ² (0.41): 1...dxe4 2.Kxe4 h6 3.a4 Kd6 4.a5 b6 5.axb6 axb6 6.h3 Ke6 7.Ke3 g5 8.Kd2 3. ² (0.69): 1...h6 2.e5 b6 3.Kg4 Kf7 4.Kg3 Ke6 5.Kf4 Kf7 6.Ke3 b5 7.Kf2 a5 depth 19
