The UCI proctocol defines a method, to restrict the moves to be analyzed. The only GUIs I know that support it are Shredder 5 and S6 "classic" (probably S7 classic, too). During interactive analysis, you hit Shift, and make the move with the mouse. Then this move will be excluded from the thinking. This can be repeated with more moves. If you enter the move, while pressing Ctrl, only this move will be analysed. You can again add more moves, by entering them while pressing Ctrl. It should work with any UCI engine. I think, it can be very useful for analysis (especially, the Shift method). Regards, Dieter
