As far as I understand, the main point is just that each program produces some
characteristic output, displaying some search information. Thus it can be
identified by its output. This is just to make things harder for some ill-willed
participant, claiming he's using his engine but is in fact using Fritz-8 or
whatever. Though I doubt that a programmer would try this.

So, I'd suggest to kibitz as much as you can (depth, nodes per sec, table base
accesses...),  and things will be okay. Right, Volker ?

I hope, that you will be there, Uri.

BTW, I'm afraid the times will be a bit unfortunate for participants from Israel
?
