THIS IS A TEST!!!! If no response, then this is NOT a bulletin board for chess. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Recently I tried an experiment, still in progress. First, I played 60+ chess games on the internet. I really tried to play good moves. Secondly, I used a chess engine and chess database program to exhaustively analyze the positions where I played incorrectly where a change in position evaluation of half pawn or more. I assume I blundered in those positions because they confused me. Now I have printed out those positions (in color!). [Not complete] Typically there were four or more such positions in each game. The next step is to re-analyze those positions without referring to my notes to see if I can find the solutions. [If I blunder again, I'll pull all my hair out.] The last step is to be repeated until the solutions and complete backup analyses come instantly. Now, the question is: Is this a good way to improve at chess? Bob D.
