Intrigued by a recent post here about Gambit Tiger 2 beating Fritz 8 at blitz in an engine match, I tried it on my 1.3 ghz computer, ponder off, each with its own book, in the F8 gui at g/4m + 2s and GT2 scored 17.5-12.5. Then I set the time control for g/15m + 10s and in 32 games the score was Fritz 8 winning by 17.5-13.5 I don't know if these are enough games to mean anything but it (maybe) suggests that F8 does better against GT2,at least in these single computer engine matches, if given longer time limits. I think next I'll play them at 40/40m.... eric
