It's because you're still provisionally rated. When you've played 5 more games,
the rating gain or loss will be much smaller, but the first games have a larger
change rate.

2200 is the maximum initial rating on ICC I think. If you program is really
2300, you'll have no problem getting there within 5 provisional games by playing
strong opponents.
