FYI, actually Chessmaster 9000, on a humble P3-733, chooses this move at depth 4
in less than one second. But a big winning score (2.55) does not indeed come
until depth 9 at three seconds. HOWEVER, at depth 10 it goes back down to 0.74,
and even through depth 13 the score remains below 1.3:
