However, IMHO, Deep Blue is stronger, by 100 rating points! BTW if Kasparov says Deep Blue is stronger, I'd trust his opinion over a publicity match played by Kramnik, even though Kasparov lost. Moreover, I watched both matches, and it seems clear to me Deep Blue played better chess, but it was running on a supercomputer many many times faster than Deep Fritz. If Deep Fritz was adapted to play on such hardware then I would suspect, Deep Fritz would be stronger. But again I stress, the _only_ way to prove this beyond any doubt is to play Deep Fritz against Deep Blue, since this isn't going to happen, this arguement is really moot. Terry
