Yes you can make executables, or rather images in exe format. Win32Forth is not
the fastest one around but it's aimed at introducing people to Forth. The real
selling point of a Forth is that you can test each definition you do
interactively with ease. Automating testing is made simple by that too. Me, I
like the syntaxlessness of Forth. There are a lot of implementations around.
Some are ANS compliant, some are not. The ANS compliance is only a concern if
you plan to write portable libraries.
