In this position: 5r2/8/8/8/1k3p2/p3pK1P/B5R1/8 w - - I put Crafty 18.7 on this and got roughly 240000 nps. When I put Crafty 19.01 on the same one it only gives me about 145000. I have it running on a PII 400 with 64 mb of memory. I don't really know anything about chess programs other than I love to play against them and play them against each other and go through the games. Without getting to technical, why is this happening? Thanks very much. Regards, Jeff
