He mentioned 1997 hardware, as did I.  In 1997 _no_ GM player (or IM player for
that matter on ICC) had anything even _close_ to a winning record vs crafty at 5
0 or
5 3.

I ran on two machines in 1997 that I can recall, one a 500mhz alpha, the other
my
quad pentium pro 200 box.  I still have the quad p6 box laying around so it is
ready
to play...  The alpha is around but in a box...  I could get it out if he
prefers to play
against that...
