I have missed the expulsion of Thorsten. I don't know what has happened, but it saddens me because he was lively, a knowledgable contributor, and occasionally sparred with me in the computer chess discussions. We had lunch together one of the days at Paris last year, and he certainly came across as a very civilised man. We share the hope that Kohl will lose the election on Sunday - him because he's a lefty, and me because I feel that Kohl's main ambition is to have Germany take over Britain (via the convoluted politics of Europe) - whatever the cost to Germany. Has anyone got his e-mail address - can they mail it to me, please?
