An intersting 4 game match at 40/120 recently took place between the Novag
Sapphire (action rated at 2383 by USCF)and the chessmaster 2 program for
the playstation game console.The Sapphire lost all 4 games.A reader had recently
expressed doubts whether this game console program was more than 1600.
THis result should destroy such conjectures.In fact programs for Game Consoles
are stronger than all Dedicated chess computers and very strong.Here is the
interesting first game with the diagram of the final position.
